Purpose of the Role

To lead and manage the sales, operations, technical, marketing, and administrative functions of the Polokwane and Lephalale branches. The Branch Manager will be accountable for meeting budgets, driving growth, ensuring operational excellence, and contributing to crime reduction in the region.


Key Responsibilities

Leadership & People Management:

  • Provide strategic and operational leadership across departments

  • Build, coach, and manage effective teams

  • Identify training needs and manage HR-related processes

Finance & Planning:

  • Submit annual business plans and budgets

  • Monitor and manage profit & loss (P&L)

  • Drive accurate forecasting and ensure collections

Sales & Customer Relations:

  • Meet or exceed sales targets

  • Support sales teams and drive market growth

  • Handle client complaints and improve customer retention

Dealer & Installer Management:

  • Achieve budgeted sales targets with Dealers & IIPs

  • Recruit, onboard, and integrate external partners into branch strategy

Operations:

  • Lead planning and production control to maximize efficiency

  • Monitor service levels, response times, and fleet readiness

  • Attend to contact crime incidents directly—non-delegable

Marketing & Communications:

  • Activate local marketing campaigns

  • Enhance social media presence and community engagement

  • Promote the Jonsson brand perception and customer experience

Compliance & Safety:

  • Maintain health, safety, and legal compliance

  • Ensure branch adherence to company policies and laws

Business Development:

  • Identify new residential guarding opportunities and bulk business sites

  • Foster community collaboration and build local visibility

Attrition Control:

  • Analyze attrition trends and implement retention strategies

  • Drive reconnections and control financial exposure


Minimum Requirements

  • Post-Matric qualification in Management, Sales, or Marketing (preferred)

  • Grade B Security Certificate (must have or obtain upon appointment)

  • 3+ years’ management experience (mid-management level)

  • Strong financial understanding of budgets and P&L

  • Experience in the Security Industry is preferred

  • Computer literacy (Advanced Excel, PowerPoint, MS Office)

  • Business acumen and commercial awareness

  • Strong decision-making, leadership, and team-building skills

  • Excellent time management and operational oversight

  • Proven ability to drive results in sales, service, and administration
