Purpose of the Role

To uphold and exceed PG Glass Fitment Centre standards through high-quality automotive glass fitting and customer service. Technicians will handle tasks ranging from standard fitments to advanced vehicle models, while also contributing to the overall efficiency and professionalism of the Fitment Centre.

Key Responsibilities

Customer Experience

Deliver professional, courteous, and efficient service
Ensure on-time and high-quality job completion
Represent the PG brand through appearance and attitude

Technical Execution (Levels 1–4)

Perform one-man fittings on a range of vehicles, including luxury models (e.g. S-Class Mercedes, Audi A6)
Take ownership of each job from start to finish
Handle customer queries and, where applicable, collect payments
Mentor and guide junior technicians (for higher levels)
Maintain high productivity and quality standards

Logistics & Support

Accurately load and transport glass based on work orders
Ensure safe delivery and obtain customer sign-offs
Manage COD payments and submit correct documentation

Housekeeping, Safety & Reporting

Maintain professional appearance and clean workspace
Ensure tools and vehicles are maintained and report any faults
Comply with all safety and traffic regulations
Report any incidents, concerns, or suspected fraud

Teamwork & Collaboration

Support colleagues and contribute to team objectives
Assume leadership or supervisory responsibilities at advanced levels

Minimum Requirements

Qualifications

Grade 12 (Matric)

Experience

1 to 3 years’ experience in automotive glass fitting (level-dependent)

Skills & Attributes

Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Focused on customer satisfaction and service delivery
Technically skilled and detail-oriented
Reliable, self-motivated, and performs well under pressure
Valid driver’s license (required)
Own vehicle and mobile phone
Willingness to travel within the region
