Job Description
Coca-Cola Beverages South Africa (CCBSA) is seeking a Team Leader – Production (ASSP Line) in Pretoria. The role is responsible for leading a production team on shift, ensuring that scheduled production volumes are achieved, while maintaining quality, safety, and efficiency standards.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
1. Shift Production Management
-
Adhere to production schedules and targets (volume & quality).

Coordinate, monitor, and intervene in line operations as needed.
-
Oversee start-up, operation, and shutdown of the production line.
-
Manage raw material consumption and usage.
2. Team Performance and Development
-
Lead, coach, and supervise team members.
-
Conduct shift handovers and toolbox talks.
-
Identify training needs and collaborate with technical trainers.
3. Quality and Compliance
-
Enforce GMP and Food Safety Standards.
-
Ensure compliance with CCBSA Quality Systems and ISO standards.
-
Support audits and corrective action implementation.
4. Operational Excellence & Continuous Improvement
-
Use production data to identify inefficiencies.
-
Apply Lean/Six Sigma tools for process improvements.
-
Drive waste reduction and enhance Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE).
5. Safety and Housekeeping
-
Ensure safety policies are enforced.
-
Lead risk assessments and incident investigations.
-
Maintain clean and organized work areas (5S principles).
6. Administrative and Reporting Tasks
-
Maintain accurate logs, downtime reports, and data tracking.
-
Report issues related to raw materials, equipment, or quality.
-
Monitor and control packaging and material usage.
7. Cross-Functional Collaboration

Work with Maintenance, Quality, and Logistics for smooth operations.

Skills, Experience & Education
Education:
-
National Diploma or NQF Level 6 in:
-
Production/Operations Management
-
Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
-
Food Technology or related
-

Advantageous: BTech or BSc in Engineering/Industrial Engineering
Experience:
-
Qualified Artisan
-
Minimum 3 years in FMCG manufacturing or bottling
-
Familiarity with automated production lines and high-speed packaging
-
Experience with GMP, HACCP, and Food Safety

Knowledge of Coca-Cola KORE systems
Skills & Technical Expertise:

Bottling, filling, and labelling processes
-
ISO, SHEQ, HACCP standards

TPM, Lean, and CI methodologies

Root cause tools (DMAIC, 5 Whys, etc.)
