Job Summary:
Unitrans is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Store Supervisor to manage inventory, personnel, and day-to-day operations within the stores department. This position plays a vital role in ensuring efficient workflow, accurate stock control, and coordination of workshop resources.
Minimum Requirements:

Education: Diploma or Advanced Certificate (NQF Level 6)

Experience: Minimum of 3 years in a similar role (stores, warehouse, or inventory supervision)

Proven experience in stock/inventory supervision

Strong organisational and documentation skills

Ability to lead and manage store personnel (storemen, fitters, and maintenance staff)

Good understanding of stock control systems and inventory procedures

Hands-on, proactive attitude with a strong attention to detail
Key Duties and Responsibilities:

Supervise storemen, tyre fitters, and maintenance staff in daily operations

Monitor and report on stock movement based on daily requirements

Oversee receipt, storage, and delivery of goods
-
Order and manage stock to maintain appropriate inventory levels

Process, check, and file relevant documentation accurately

Ensure housekeeping, equipment maintenance, and safety compliance

Conduct daily inspections of the yard, tyre area, and workshop tools
-
Coordinate with workshop operations on fleet inspections

Liaise with customers and internal departments
-
Organise weekly tyre scrapping meetings and documentation
-
Coordinate removal of scrap tyres with service providers
