Purpose of the Role:

To enhance social governance practices, ensure compliance with regulatory and internal standards, and support the continuous improvement of social performance initiatives aligned with best practices.


Key Responsibilities Include:

Governance & Compliance

  • Ensure adherence to all safety, health, and environmental regulations in social initiatives

  • Report unsafe or non-compliant practices

  • Ensure compliance with internal policies and external legislation related to social governance

Auditing & Assurance

  • Conduct regular audits of social programs, community engagement, and impact assessments

  • Monitor quality assurance processes and recommend improvements

  • Track KPIs and performance metrics

Stakeholder Engagement & Feedback

  • Collect and analyse feedback from communities and team members

  • Collaborate with teams to align social strategies with community needs

  • Support stakeholder alignment and trust-building initiatives

Data & Reporting

  • Use data analytics to identify trends and risks

  • Prepare detailed reports on compliance, impact, and program effectiveness

  • Leverage quality improvement frameworks to drive performance

Innovation & Technology

  • Stay informed on emerging tools and technologies in social governance

  • Assess and integrate new systems to improve governance and community engagement


Qualifications Required:

  • Grade 12 (matric)

  • Diploma (NQF 6) in social sciences, governance, law, public policy, or related fields

  • Bachelor’s degree (NQF 7) preferred in the same fields

  • Valid Code B Driver’s Licence

  • Relevant certifications (e.g., ISO, compliance, or quality management) advantageous


Experience Required:

  • 3–5 years in social governance, compliance, or community engagement

  • Experience with:

    • CSR regulations (local and international)

    • Quality assurance of social programs

    • Stakeholder engagement and social impact assessment

    • Data analytics and performance tracking
