Minimum Requirements

• Matric (Grade 12)

• 2–3 years of restaurant management experience

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy

• Ability to lead and manage a team

• Excellent communication skills

• Solid knowledge of restaurant operations

Preferred:

• More than 3 years of restaurant management experience

• Valid driver’s license and own vehicle

Key Responsibilities

Financial Management

• Perform daily financial administration according to Nando’s policies and procedures

• Assist in expense control and achieving gross profit targets through stock control, waste management, and pilferage reduction

• Take corrective action to improve key business performance indicators such as sales, gross profit, average ticket size, and customer count

• Monitor performance against daily targets

Operational Management

• Ensure effective daily stock control

• Conduct compliance checks for health and safety, repairs, maintenance, cleaning, and hygiene

• Assist in developing corrective action plans to improve audit results

• Ensure all operations meet Nando’s standards and requirements

People Management

• Support weekly staff scheduling to meet business needs

• Assist in recruiting, onboarding, and training new team members

• Manage attendance records

• Support the enforcement of disciplinary procedures

• Provide feedback to staff and escalate performance issues as needed

• Ensure all team members are trained and signed off on relevant procedures

Marketing and Customer Service

• Assist in communicating and executing national, regional, and local marketing campaigns

• Respond to customer complaints in line with company procedures

• Contribute to improving mystery shopper scores

• Help implement local marketing initiatives to grow the customer base
