About the Role:

Tsebo is looking for an experienced Cleaning Manager, preferably with healthcare industry experience, to oversee daily operations and site performance. The successful candidate will ensure compliance with site-specific SLAs, maintain high service standards, manage staff and equipment, and build strong client relationships.


Minimum Requirements:

Education:

  • Matric (Grade 12) required

  • Tertiary qualification advantageous

Experience:

  • Minimum 5 years in a similar middle management role

  • Strong background in cleaning operations

  • Healthcare industry experience is highly advantageous

  • Proven track record managing large teams

  • Understanding of cleaning principles, scheduling, and service delivery standards


Duties and Responsibilities:

Site Operations:

  • Full responsibility for site performance and staff supervision

  • Ensure SLA compliance and effective allocation of resources

  • Maintain service levels even during unit closures

  • Adhere to company policies, quality programs, and cleaning procedures

  • Monitor, report, and maintain cleaning equipment and assets

Client Management:

  • Build and maintain client relationships

  • Conduct regular site visits and inspections

  • Provide detailed feedback and reports to clients

  • Respond promptly to client queries and concerns

Staff Management:

  • Allocate and manage cleaning staff and relief staff

  • Maintain discipline and handle HR issues in line with company policies

  • Conduct staff performance reviews and training

  • Ensure staff presentation aligns with Tsebo’s image standards

Health and Safety:

  • Enforce OHS compliance on-site in line with Tsebo policies and legal standards

Financial Responsibilities:

  • Manage leave liabilities and expenses

  • Track and bill rechargeable work, overtime, and consumables

  • Identify additional business opportunities within existing contracts

  • Follow procurement approval processes for CAPEX and repairs

General:

  • Uphold Tsebo’s brand and professional standards

  • Attend meetings and training

  • Implement quality, HR, procurement, and operational initiatives

  • Perform ad hoc duties as required

  • Strong client relationship and communication skills

  • Leadership and team management

  • Detail-oriented and organized

  • Able to work under pressure and independently

  • Problem-solving ability

  • Flexible with working hours (after hours and weekends)

  • Knowledge of labour relations and HR practices

  • Understanding of cleaning schedules and task allocation
