Company Overview:
Novus Print, a leader in the printing industry, is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Assistant Stock Accountant to support our finance team. This role reports directly to the Senior Stock Accountant and offers an excellent opportunity to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment committed to excellence.


Job Summary:
The successful candidate will play a key role in managing paper stock orders, import coordination, inventory accounting, reporting, and ensuring accuracy and compliance with financial systems and regulations.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Place and manage local and international paper orders

  • Coordinate shipment communication from origin to final destination

  • Handle import clearance procedures

  • Verify and process paper receipts in financial systems daily

  • Manage inter-company transactions

  • Provide quality service to both internal and external customers and suppliers

  • Assist with daily, month-end, and ad-hoc financial reporting

  • Maintain digital records for audits and compliance

  • Update financial systems and reporting tools (especially Excel)

  • Stay informed on government policies and accounting standards

  • Continuously seek improvements in reporting and data accuracy


Minimum Requirements:

Education:

  • Grade 12 with Mathematics and Accounting (essential)

  • A financial certificate or diploma (advantageous)

Experience:

  • 2–3 years of inventory control experience in a manufacturing environment

  • Experience with imports and exports

  • Knowledge of foreign exchange transactions


Skills and Competencies:

  • Strong accounting knowledge and basic shipping documentation (Incoterms)

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially advanced Excel

  • Accuracy and attention to detail in reporting

  • Ability to work independently and under pressure

  • Excellent planning and organisational skills

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills

  • Analytical and problem-solving capabilities

  • Familiarity with accounting/manufacturing software
