Job Description
Seriti is offering an exciting learning opportunity for individuals from Khutala host communities to train as Underground Mining Machinery (UGMM) Operators. Learners will be trained to operate various underground mining machinery used in coal production.
Key Responsibilities

Operate underground mining machinery
-
Maintain housekeeping in mining areas
-
Identify faults and assist with problem-solving
-
Attend training related to machinery operations
-
Perform other operational tasks as needed
Minimum Requirements
-
Grade 10 with Mathematics, Science, and English
-
Willingness to be trained on different mining machines
-
Ability to work at heights and near large equipment
-
Good communication in English (read, write, speak)
-
High regard for safety and regulations
-
Willing to do a practical driving assessment
-
Able to undergo a behavioural assessment
-
Fit to work in a production environment and pass a Certificate of Fitness
-
Able to work well in a team
Advantageous
-
Previous mining experience
-
Valid K53 driver’s licence
