Job Purpose:
The General Worker in the Cleaning Plant will support cleaning and preparation activities for quality control tests and seed lot processing. This role involves working under the supervision of the Cleaning Manager and Senior Machine Operator to ensure that simulation samples and seed lots are thoroughly cleaned and prepared for testing and further processing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Cleaning and Preparation:
- Clean simulation samples under supervision for Quality Control (QC) testing.
- Clean small to medium-sized seed lots as per instructions from the Cleaning Manager and Senior Machine Operator.
- Machine Maintenance:
- Inspect and clean simulation machines before use and report any mechanical issues to the Cleaning Manager.
- Inventory Support:
- Assist with bi-annual stock take as directed.
Minimum Requirements:
- Education: Grade 12 National Senior Certificate (essential).
- Experience: At least 1 year of experience as a General Worker is preferred.
- Skills:
- Ability to follow instructions accurately and work effectively in a team setting.
- Strong attention to detail, particularly when handling machinery and preparing samples.
