Job Overview

We are seeking a Hygiene Technician to join our team in Swellendam. The successful candidate will complete all hygiene services professionally, adhering to South African regulations and agreed service level agreements (SLAs) at client sites. Maintenance of hygiene equipment in line with client SLAs is also required.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Drive according to South African road regulations on planned routes, ensuring safe and timely arrival for services.
• Comply with company vehicle and fuel policies at all times.
• Maintain a valid driver’s license and Professional Driving Permit (PDP).
• Perform vehicle checks every two weeks and report any accidents or defects to management immediately.
• Deliver quality inspection and treatment services to exceed customer expectations.
• Provide customers with written evidence of services delivered.
• Upsell Tsebo hygiene products and services and refer sales inquiries to sales executives.
• Plan work routes efficiently to achieve 100% service delivery.
• Accurately submit reports and paperwork as required at specified intervals.
• Manage a designated territorial area and all customers within it.
• Be flexible to travel and work additional hours as needed.

Health and Safety

• Ensure compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) Act and site-specific requirements in line with company policies and legislation.

General Responsibilities

• Stay updated on industry trends and innovations, suggesting their implementation in the business.
• Maintain high morale and motivation through effective communication.
• Attend meetings, training sessions, and conferences as required.
• Achieve the company's objectives and implement client initiatives as directed.
• Represent the Tsebo brand professionally at all times and adhere to statutory/legal requirements.
• Look for cross-selling opportunities within Tsebo Solutions Group (e.g., hygiene, security, catering, facility management).
• Stay informed about changes in company policies and ensure compliance.

Qualifications

• Minimum Matric qualification.
• Relevant experience as a Hygiene Technician.
• Team leader or supervisory experience is advantageous.
• Relevant tertiary qualification and/or equivalent experience.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle.
• Previous experience in a similar environment is required.
