Job Overview

The Funeral Claims Analyst is responsible for analyzing, assessing, and processing valid funeral claims within 48 hours of receiving the last required document. This role includes detecting fraudulent activities related to claims and ensuring effective customer service delivery by prioritizing overdue claims. The analyst will also focus on achieving a favorable Net Promoter Score (NPS) of over 80% through quality customer interactions.

Qualifications

  • Minimum Education: Grade 12
  • Regulatory Compliance: FAIS compliant and must hold RE5 certification
  • Technical Skills: Computer literacy is essential; insurance qualifications are preferred (e.g., from the Insurance Institute)

Experience Required

  • Claims Processing: Preferably in the Long-Term Insurance Category
  • Years of Experience: Minimum of 2 years in a claims environment
