About the Programme
Solareff is offering a 12-month fixed-term opportunity through the Youth Employment Service (YES) Initiative, a Presidency-led programme aimed at reducing youth unemployment and supporting Broad-Based Black Economic Empowerment (BBBEE) objectives.
This opportunity provides unemployed South African youth with valuable workplace exposure and practical experience in various departments, including administration, warehousing, and technical operations.
Please Note: This is a work experience programme and not an internship, apprenticeship, or accredited training programme. Participants will not receive a formal qualification or certification upon completion.
Minimum Requirements
Qualifications
Grade 12 (Matric) or equivalent qualification
A post-matric certificate or programme will be advantageous
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must:
Be a South African citizen
Be between 18 and 34 years old
Not be studying full-time during the programme period
Not have participated in or registered for the YES Programme previously
Not have been permanently employed by a single employer for more than one year
Have strong numerical and mathematical skills
Be detail-oriented and organised
Be able to work effectively within a team environment
Be proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams)
Key Responsibilities
Provide administrative and operational support to assigned departments
Assist with data capturing, record keeping, and document management
Maintain accurate filing systems and ensure information remains updated
Support departmental projects and day-to-day operations
Assist with customer, supplier, and internal stakeholder enquiries
Attend meetings, training sessions, and workplace development activities
Adhere to company policies, procedures, and safety standards
Assist in preparing reports, schedules, and departmental documentation
Support inventory, asset, stock, and resource management activities where required
Perform general administrative and coordination duties
Develop professional workplace skills through practical experience and mentorship
