Location: Ackermans and Ackermans Connect – Gauteng Node
Department: Operations – Stores
Type: Temporary (P27 – typically during peak retail periods, like holidays)
Purpose of the Role:
To deliver an exceptional customer shopping experience through:

Stock replenishment

Merchandising
-
Housekeeping
-
Efficient processing of transactions at till points

Key Responsibilities:
1. Customer Service

Assist customers in finding products
-
Attend to queries and complaints
-
Create a welcoming and helpful shopping experience
2. Cashier Duties
-
Process payments (cash, card, Lay-bys, and refunds)

Report discrepancies to the supervisor
-
Balance tills accurately
3. Merchandising
-
Ensure stock is priced and displayed correctly
-
Maintain product availability on the floor
-
Support with promotions and general store housekeeping
4. Risk Management
-
Tag products as per company policy
-
Participate in stock takes
-
Monitor for shoplifting/fraud and report suspicious activity

Required Skills & Experience:

Excellent customer service skills

Fluent in English (other languages are a plus)
