About the Employer
The Road Accident Fund (RAF) provides cover and compensation to road users injured in motor vehicle accidents within South Africa, aiming to deliver timely and compassionate rehabilitation and promote road safety.
Purpose of the Job
To provide comprehensive administrative support to the Legal Services Department and ensure smooth day-to-day office operations.
Key Performance Areas
Legal Secretarial Administration:

Prepare court statements and legal forms
-
Transcribe and proofread legal documents from attorney dictations
-
Index and update pleadings and discovery binders
-
Support legal research and liaise with vendors, experts, attorneys, and opposing counsel
Standards, Process & Procedure Maintenance:

Maintain adherence to internal standards and business goals
-
Support strategy and reporting offices per RAF policies
Quality Assurance:
-
Keep documentation and policies current and accurate
Office Management:
-
Manage correspondence, filing, and phone queries
-
Maintain confidentiality
-
Follow up on outstanding matters
-
Ensure availability of stationery and timely office support
Meeting and Diary Management:
-
Arrange meetings, take minutes, and distribute them
-
Manage follow-ups and team diaries
-
Schedule appointments with internal and external stakeholders
Document Control:

Maintain filing systems and manage court roll updates
-
Retrieve and distribute documents confidentially

Record and file documentation properly

Maintain databases related to court directives and foreign national records
Qualifications and Experience
-
National Diploma in Business Administration or Law-related qualification
-
Minimum 2 years’ experience in business or law administration

Computer literacy (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
