Key Duties and Responsibilities

Administer and maintain the Food Safety (FSSC 22000) and Quality Management (ISO 9001:2015) systems.

Ensure compliance with GFSI standards, regulatory, and customer-specific requirements.

Promote Food Safety and Quality principles across the organization.

Support development and application of Food Hygiene Standards, GMP, and related practices.

Participate in internal and external Food Safety and Quality audits.

Provide administrative support to the Food Safety and Quality Assurance team.

Maintain up-to-date electronic and physical records for audit readiness.

Manage system databases for tracking quality and food safety processes.

Follow up on audit findings and non-conformances.

Control documentation and communicate system updates.

Coordinate FSSC/HACCP committee meetings and document outcomes.

Report continuous improvement opportunities to management.

Monitor and manage non-conforming products post-management decisions.

Generate monthly Quality and Food Safety reports.

Follow up on lab testing related to Food Safety and Quality.

Train Quality and Food Safety personnel as needed.
Educational Requirements
-
Matric with Maths and Science
-
Diploma or Degree in Food Technology or equivalent
Experience Requirements
-
2–3 years’ experience in coordinating and administering ISO 9001 and HACCP/Food Safety in a manufacturing environment

Knowledge of ISO 9001:2015, HACCP, and Food Safety systems such as FSSC 22000, BRC, or AIB
-
Ability to implement and maintain Quality and Food Safety systems in manufacturing
