What You’ll Be Doing
As a Warehouse Assistant, you will be a key player in ensuring the efficient operation of the warehouse. Your role will support service delivery, customer satisfaction, and aftermarket profitability by ensuring parts handling, order processing, and inventory systems run smoothly.
Key Responsibilities
Receiving and Inbound Logistics

Receive goods accurately and in line with Volvo procedures

Ensure all parts are received against documentation within set KPIs

Record and report discrepancies in the GDS system

Bin parts according to system allocations
Outbound and Dispatch

Process customer orders and ensure correct picking and packing

Update the system after authorization

Dispatch correct parts and quantities as per invoices

Support workshop teams by delivering parts promptly
Credit Notes and Returns

Ensure all credit notes are checked, processed, and filed

Follow correct return procedures, especially for restricted items
Stock Control and Bin Verification

Conduct daily stock counts as per volume targets

Investigate and authorize any stock adjustments before system updates
Housekeeping and Safety

Maintain cleanliness and organization of warehouse premises

Ensure safe storage and proper binning of parts

Secure the warehouse perimeter and manage waste disposal
Exchange Parts

Check that returned parts meet exchange standards

Manage physical receipt and storage of exchange items

Prepare supplier/core returns with correct labeling and packaging
Health and Safety

Ensure compliance with Volvo's health and safety policies

Minimum Requirements

Matric / Grade 12
-
Diploma in Warehouse Management OR minimum 3 years’ warehousing experience
