Purpose of the Job
The Trainee Manager will support the Branch Manager in daily store operations, with responsibilities covering sales, customer service, merchandising, stock control, financial procedures, administration, and people management. This is part of the Trainee Manager Programme, aimed at developing future store leaders.
Key Responsibilities

Achieve store sales and profit targets.

Ensure excellent customer service and store presentation.

Address customer complaints per company policies.

Monitor daily sales performance and stock levels.

Reduce stock loss and follow security procedures.

Coordinate merchandise displays and promotions.

Order and manage stock levels.

Handle financial administration (cash reconciliation, daily records).

Submit reports and manage employee paperwork.

Assist in staffing, scheduling, and team development.

Ensure compliance with health and safety standards.
Qualifications
-
Grade 12 certificate with English and Mathematics (essential).

Tertiary qualification in retail management or a related field (desired).
Experience
-
Minimum 2 years’ retail experience in a store environment (essential).
Knowledge and Skills
-
Strong knowledge of retail operations including sales, stock, cash, banking, systems, and reporting.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365.
