Job Description
A permanent opportunity is available for a General Worker (Assistant Driver) based in Johannesburg, Gauteng. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting with loading and offloading company products, supporting drivers during deliveries, maintaining delivery records, and performing general housekeeping duties. Applicants must be physically fit, reliable, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
Minimum Requirements
Grade 12 / Matric / NQF Level 4 qualification.
Previous experience in warehousing, manufacturing, transport, or logistics environments.
Must be willing to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
Own reliable transport to and from work.
Clean criminal record.
Medically fit.
Ability to lift, push, pull, bend, and carry heavy items repeatedly.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Strong work ethic and willingness to follow instructions from supervisors.
Key Responsibilities
Load and unload company products.
Assist drivers in locating delivery destinations when required.
Report delivery-related issues to management.
Compile and maintain accurate delivery records and reports.
Obtain customer signatures as proof of delivery.
Clean company trucks and vehicles.
Assist with unloading delivery vehicles at the end of each shift.
Perform general housekeeping and cleaning duties.
