Role Purpose

To support the safe and efficient operation of the plant through equipment inspections, basic operational tasks, and proactive hazard identification under the guidance of the Process Supervisor.

Reporting Line: Process Supervisor
Band Level: B2

Key Responsibilities

React to abnormal activities and report them to the Process Supervisor
Assist and support team members when needed
Perform equipment inspections
Start and stop equipment as required
Provide support during equipment breakdowns
Follow instructions and operational procedures carefully
Operate communication equipment effectively
Complete data logging and basic reporting
Maintain good housekeeping in the work area
Complete and participate in safety inspections and meetings
Identify hazards and threats proactively
Uphold and improve safety standards
Work according to schedules and shifts as required

Minimum Qualifications

Grade 12 / NQF Level 4
Cadet Learnership completed (advantageous)

Additional Requirements

Willingness to work on surface in open pit, dusty environments
Must be prepared to work shifts according to operational needs
Must be a South African citizen
No criminal record
Must pass relevant psychometric assessment
Good communication skills in English (written and verbal)
A valid South African Driver’s License is an advantage
