Job Purpose

Support the Branch Manager in maximizing sustainable branch sales by effectively managing store operations, stock, staff, and customer service.


Key Responsibilities

Sales Maximization

  • Manage sales of unscheduled product lines (skincare, cosmetics, vitamins, personal care) and stockroom

  • Minimize shrinkage and wastage

  • Maintain on-shelf availability and presentation standards

  • Execute pricing and product promotions

  • Achieve monthly sales and profit targets

Minimizing Losses

  • Identify and address wastage and shrinkage based on reports

  • Implement corrective actions to reduce losses

Branch Reporting & Merchandising

  • Provide accurate sales and operational reports to Regional Manager

  • Maintain merchandising and promotional displays as per company standards

  • Manage stock availability, including inter-branch transfers when needed

Customer Service

  • Create a customer-friendly environment to maximize loyalty

People Management

  • Lead, motivate, and train staff to meet profitability and service goals

  • Handle disciplinary and grievance matters professionally

Compliance & Safety

  • Ensure housekeeping, hygiene, safety, and audit compliance at all times


Qualifications & Experience

  • Grade 12 (Matric)

  • Minimum 2 years retail sales management or supervisory experience


Skills & Knowledge

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Numeracy and retail sales expertise

  • Bilingual preferred (Afrikaans & English)

  • Leadership and supervision capabilities

  • Excellent customer service skills

  • Knowledge of payment procedures and retail systems (ShopPos, OBS)

  • Understanding of supply chain, merchandising, safety, and hygiene regulations
