Job Advert Summary:

Unitrans is seeking an Administration Officer II to perform various clerical duties under general supervision. The role involves compiling and arranging data, processing documents, maintaining records, and performing routine administrative tasks. Supervision is readily available, and the role offers potential for growth into operational positions.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Qualification: Grade 12 / Matric / NQF Level 4, Advanced Certificate / NQF Level 5
  • Experience: Up to 3 years in a similar role
  • Additional Experience: Experience in logistics is required
  • Career Aspiration: Candidate must be willing to assist with operational work and aspire to become an Operations Controller and later a Site Supervisor

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Ensure PODs (Proof of Deliveries) are completed daily
  • Collect PODs and trip sheets
  • Ensure trip numbers are present on PODs and verify completeness
  • Load PODs onto the electronic system and keep necessary records
  • Liaise with clients regarding completed PODs
  • Record all POD information in a schedule/register
  • Perform daily filing in order number sequence
  • Handle tasks like copying, faxing, and data capturing
  • Answer reception/telephone inquiries
  • Take minutes for meetings
  • Maintain and update records and files
  • Ensure all trip sheets are signed daily
  • Foster good customer relations through daily interaction
  • Compile daily hours worked and weekly wage input
  • Administer staff leave and manage related records
  • Assist staff with queries

This is a permanent position, and the successful candidate will be working in the Consumer division at Unitrans.
