About the Position
Unitrans is looking for a reliable and organised Storeman to join its Passenger Division in North West. The successful candidate will be responsible for receiving, storing, issuing, and controlling stock while ensuring inventory records remain accurate and company procedures are followed.
This role is ideal for someone with experience in a warehouse or storeroom environment who is detail-oriented and enjoys working in a structured setting.
Key Responsibilities
As a Storeman, your duties will include:
Receiving, storing, and issuing stock according to company procedures.
Recording all stock movements accurately.
Conducting warranty checks and cycle counts.
Performing monthly stock takes.
Ensuring all parts are correctly stored and labelled.
Liaising with suppliers regarding stock requirements.
Updating stock records with daily receipts and issues.
Identifying and issuing the correct parts from stock.
Ensuring stock is secure and properly accounted for.
Maintaining good relationships with customers.
Ordering stock parts when required.
Following company policies, procedures, and the code of conduct.
Complying with all health and safety regulations.
Minimum Requirements
Applicants must have:
Grade 12 / Matric / National Senior Certificate.
1–2 years of experience in a storeroom, warehouse, or inventory environment.
Knowledge of parts identification and storage procedures.
Physical fitness to perform manual lifting when required.
