Purpose of the Role
To assist the pharmacist in dispensing medication and managing pharmacy-related administrative duties, while ensuring excellent customer service and compliance with pharmacy standards.
Key Responsibilities

Dispensing medication under the direct supervision of a registered pharmacist
-
Stock control: Managing, ordering, and monitoring pharmaceutical stock

Administrative tasks: Keeping accurate records, assisting with scripts and pharmacy documentation
-
Housekeeping: Ensuring cleanliness and order within the dispensary and frontshop areas
-
Frontshop service: Assisting customers and ensuring a positive shopping experience
Qualifications (Essential)
-
Qualified Post-Basic Pharmacist Assistant
-
Registered with the South African Pharmacy Council (SAPC) as a Post-Basic Assistant
Experience
-
Minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar pharmacy-related role
Knowledge and Skills
Essential:

Strong customer service orientation

Practical knowledge of dispensing procedures

Familiarity with dispensing and stock ordering systems
Desirable:
-
Experience or knowledge of Retail or FMCG pharmacy operations
