Job Summary
The Engineering Department at PPC Slurry is seeking a Clerk Planning for a fixed-term position. The successful candidate will assist with clerical tasks in the Maintenance Planning Section and capture workorder feedback.

Minimum Requirements
-
Matric / Grade 12
-
Diploma or Degree in Engineering (or equivalent)

Experience with data capturing in a planning environment
-
At least 2 years’ experience in an engineering maintenance or similar environment
Key Responsibilities
1. Data Capturing & System Integrity
-
Capture data into CMMS (ON KEY) from staff, contractors, and service providers
-
Inputs include: workorder feedback, 5 Why feedback, failure reports, condition monitoring, utility data, and external reports

Enter weekly time bookings and overtime for compliance

Create follow-up workorders for contractors and permanent staff

Support clerical functions including filing, retrieving documents, and linking documents to assets/tasks

Maintain the Engineering Information System and print maintenance cards
2. Communication & Reporting
-
Provide input for interdepartmental meetings (INVOCOMs)

Contribute to achieving engineering Key Performance Indicators

Report risks, incidents, and accidents that may affect business operations
3. Governance & Risk Management
-
Comply with SHE (Safety, Health & Environment), QMS, legal, and regulatory requirements

Promote a culture of compliance
4. Contractor Management
-
Generate work requests for contract labour and services, based on input from Foremen and Planners
