Main Purpose of the Job
To design, manage, and maintain competitive remuneration strategies and practices that support the attraction, retention, and motivation of talent, while ensuring financial sustainability and compliance with corporate and legislative guidelines.
Key Responsibilities

Ensure total employee costs are competitive and aligned with market benchmarks.

Develop and manage remuneration policies to maintain salary costs within approved corporate frameworks.

Oversee equitable job grading aligned to organizational structure and job worth.

Manage HR’s management information systems and ensure accurate reporting.

Provide leadership and strategic direction to the remuneration function and team.
Minimum Requirements
Education:

Essential: BCom degree or relevant related qualification.
Experience:

5 years of experience in remuneration management.

3 years of managerial experience in a related HR or finance capacity.

Key Skills and Knowledge Required

Remuneration strategies, systems, and best practices.

Sound understanding of accounting, economics, and financial management.

In-depth knowledge of HR management principles and practices.

Familiarity with job grading, organisational design, and industry trends.

Excellent negotiation, presentation, and written communication skills.

Solid understanding of South African labour laws (e.g., BCEA, LRA, EEA).

Proficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant remuneration software.

Competence in staffing budget management, cost modeling, and data analysis.

Strong research skills and ability to interpret data for executive reporting.
