Job Purpose:
To effectively engage with retail, franchise, and wholesale customers, maintaining regular contact and offering tailored merchandising and sales solutions based on an understanding of customer needs, industry trends, and product knowledge.


Key Responsibilities:

Customer Engagement:

  • Plan efficient daily routes to maximize customer calls

  • Analyze customer business needs, market conditions, and product gaps

  • Execute promotional strategies and ensure compliance

  • Prepare and present solutions based on customer and product analysis

  • Conduct new product launches and drive volume deals

  • Maintain accurate monthly planning and reporting

Customer Relationship Management:

  • Expand and maintain strong customer relationships

  • Resolve escalated customer issues

  • Monitor and respond to competitor activity

  • Ensure excellent service delivery and support

Supply Chain and Distribution Management:

  • Address stock availability issues

  • Support order-taking and manage short-dated stock

  • Achieve distribution and new product development targets

  • Use Power BI for stock and performance tracking

  • Ensure zero expired stock on shelves

Team Coordination and Self-Management:

  • Supervise in-store merchandisers and track performance using handheld technology

  • Manage team attendance, leave, and compliance

  • Promote a culture of training, accountability, and productivity

  • Manage company assets and operating costs

  • Uphold company values and drive personal and team development

Budget and Sales Management:

  • Meet area sales volume targets

  • Track sales performance against budget using data and reports


Key Internal Relationships:
Customer team, operations, and customer service center

Key External Relationships:
Retail, franchise, and wholesale clients


Qualifications and Experience Required:

  • Matric

  • Marketing or Sales diploma/degree (preferred)

  • Valid Code EB driver's license

  • 1 to 2 years direct sales experience


Skills and Competencies:

  • Sales and budget achievement

  • Analytical thinking and problem solving

  • Computer literacy (MS Office, digital tools)

  • Direct selling and negotiation

  • Verbal and written communication
