Customer Service Representative (6-Month Contract)
Location: Montague Gardens, Cape Town, South Africa
Division: M24 Logistics – Takealot Group
Reporting To: Customer Service Manager – M24 Logistics

Role Overview

As a Customer Service Representative, you will be responsible for resolving customer queries, addressing complaints, managing service expectations, and ensuring the overall customer experience is timely and effective. Proficiency with CRM systems, attention to detail, and the ability to perform under pressure are key to success in this role.


Minimum Requirements

  • Matric (Grade 12)

  • Additional qualifications in Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field are advantageous

  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in a customer service role within a logistics or supply chain environment


Key Responsibilities

  • Respond promptly and professionally to customer inquiries via phone, email, and other platforms

  • Ensure all queries are resolved within agreed Service Level Agreements (SLAs)

  • Compile and deliver management reports as required

  • Resolve customer complaints effectively and ensure follow-up for customer satisfaction

  • Maintain detailed records of customer interactions using a CRM system

  • Liaise with operations, sales, and other departments to resolve service or delivery issues

  • Identify and recommend improvements to processes and customer service best practices

  • Order Capturing on SAP: Accurately process customer orders

  • Attention to Detail: Ensure all customer and order information is correct

  • Critical Thinking: Evaluate problems and apply sound judgment to resolve them

  • Excel Proficiency: Confident working with spreadsheets (e.g. VLOOKUP, pivot tables, formulas)

  • Thrives Under Pressure: Stay organised and focused in fast-paced environments

  • Excellent Communication: Clear, professional verbal and written communication
