Receptionist – Hyundai Wonderboom

Job Purpose

The Receptionist will manage the front desk, switchboard, and bookings, ensuring smooth customer interactions and administrative efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

Bookings Clerk Duties

  • Ensure all jobs are closed and costed correctly using the flat rate manual.
  • Assist Service Advisors during peak times and take service bookings when needed.
  • Efficiently manage the diary and booking system to optimize daily workflow.
  • Ensure customers are attended to timeously in the mornings.
  • Act as a coordinator between Service Advisors and the Foreman.
  • Keep the booking sheet updated and neat.
  • Obtain authorization from service plan and fleet companies promptly.
  • Keep filing and debtor invoices up to date.

Receptionist & Switchboard Operator Duties

  • Answer incoming calls promptly and manage the switchboard (transferring calls, taking messages, etc.).
  • Ensure customer comfort in the reception area.
  • Manage cleaners and maintain the dealership’s front desk appearance.
  • Assist in supervising junior staff working in reception.
  • Complete weekly/monthly reports as required.
  • Assist with general administrative tasks.

Preference will be given to Equity candidates in line with the company’s transformation targets.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Matric (Grade 12)
  • 3–4 years experience in a similar role

Skills & Attributes

  • Strong front-line customer service skills
  • Experience managing bookings and administrative tasks
  • Good communication and organizational skills
